SAFETY EXCELLENCE

Although VoltaGrid employs full-time safety and training staff, the remote nature of our work and our small crew sizes make personal responsibility for safety even more critical. Each person in the company must be trained in risk identification and mitigation.

VoltaGrid's policies, SOPs, and training programs support and reinforce the focus of every individual worker. However, safety does not end with employee performance. Safety excellence must also be reflected in VoltaGrid's programs for equipment protection and environmental stewardship.

A foundation for safe and reliable operations

GPS PROGRAM

VoltaGrid's GPS program provides a comprehensive framework for safety, quality, and operational excellence across our organization.

Aligned with recognized industry standards and integrated into our management systems, the program combines rigorous training, standardized procedures, data-driven performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives to help ensure the safety of our people, the reliability of our operations, and the successful delivery of every project.

Our GPS program includes:

Aligns to ISO 45001

Works in conjunction with all company management systems

Includes task, and equipment standard operating procedures (“SOPs”)

Serves as the foundation for quality management system

Requires rigorous training for all employees, including classroom and remote training programs customized by equipment, task, policy, and roles (e.g., new hires, supervisors, and senior leadership)

Utilizes TapRooT and EquiFactor to collect and manage data for company-specific leading indicators and root cause analyses

Improves field performance with job safety analyses (“JSA”)

Incorporates DOT excellence standards

Registered with ISNetworld, Avetta, and Veriforce (formerly PEC)

When in doubt, don't

STOP WORK AUTHORITY

All VoltaGrid employees are expected to proactively identify and mitigate hazards daily. Every employee holds Stop Work Authority (SWA), the mandate to intervene whenever a hazardous condition is observed, ask safety questions, or report inadequate training. Supervisors must then remedy the situation to ensure safe completion.

VoltaGrid guarantees no discipline or negative repercussions for valid SWA interventions. If you believe you are being disciplined for using SWA, email whistleblower@voltagrid.com immediately.
